The last time I talked to my Uncle I knew there was something wrong. I called him to greet him a happy birthday but he seems to be very pre-occupied and worried. He was actually waiting for a phone call from the hospital when I called regarding his 98 years old mom. She was getting sick and unfortunately at the night of his birthday, she passed away. Things like this just breaks my heart. I know she is really old and lived a good life but I still feel the pain of losing someone.
Every once in a while Ryan and I talk about caring for Papa and Mama. It is inevitable and it will come in time. I have always been raised to care for my elderly and not leave them in a nursing home. Then again it was in the Philippines when you get a lot of support help around you. If you are working and also have your own family to take care then it will be hard. When you put them in a home, you also need to consider the expenses because it is not cheap. So we will cross the bridge when we get there. All I know is I want to take care of them when time comes just like how they both took care of us when we were growing. Besides we will never be who we are right now without both of them. Caring for an elderly at home has gotten a lot easier than it used to. They have now incontinence products that you can get over the internet and have it delivered at your home. They also now have seat lifts, mobility seats, walkers and other things that will help you move your elderly with ease. Sometimes it scares me to even think of it because I hate the fact that they are not getting any younger but it is also enlightening to know that there are things that you can get at Disposablemedicalexpress.com to make your life with them a lot easier.
